Branch Vice President | Mortgage Planning Specialist
Sarah grew up in Ventura County, CA and is a true southern California native. She was a competitive figure skater through high school and a former “Aztec” graduating from San Diego State University in 2002. Her career helping others started with the American Council on Exercise, a non-profit organization, providing the education needed for varying levels of fitness certifications and has lived in San Diego since.
Her career in the mortgage industry began in 2003 with her own less then desirable first time home buying experience. Frustrated from not understanding the process, being put in a loan that did not fit her needs, and not getting her questions answered with the biggest purchase of her life was the catalyst into the industry. “I reflected on the broken process I had gone through and I knew my passion for education and helping people would make it better for others.” She started interning for a mortgage company in 2004, got licensed in 2006 and has been helping people with a holistic approach to mortgage financing since. “I love building communities and helping my clients achieve one of their biggest investment goals with home ownership.”
Sarah is a regular guest on the national television show, The American Dream with Craig Sewing, is a resource partner for the San Diego Chapter of the Financial Planner’s Association and licensed continuing education provider for 14 different finance certifications including CFP and CPA. She is a board member for Junior Achievement (a non-profit focused on bringing financial education to all school age children), an advocate for Alzheimer’s research (her mom passed from this disease in 2017) and can be heard on the radio station AM 1170 advocating consumer awareness on mortgage financing.
In her spare time she is an avid Indianapolis Colts fan (her favorite NFL player was Peyton Manning), is a lover of live music and attends multiple music festivals across the US every year. She loves the outdoors and the active lifestyle that sunny San Diego provides all while spending time with her husband, son, family and friends.
